Plans and limits
What each plan includes, how Dekka counts usage against it, and what happens when you reach a limit.
Each organisation's plan sets how much it can create and use. Usage in the dashboard shows where you stand, and Plans, billing and usage covers prices and changing plans.

How does Dekka count usage?
Active services are web services and workers that aren't stopped, so stopping one frees its slot, and cron jobs don't count. Databases and buckets don't count as services and are limited by their storage and memory allowances instead, which add up across every environment and project. Every queue that isn't deleted counts towards the queue limit. Memory, vCPU and replicas are limits for each service, and each copy in a forked environment counts in full.
What happens at a limit?
Dekka refuses whatever would take you past the limit with 403 entitlement_exceeded, and the message names the limit, such as "The Free plan includes 1 active app. Stop or delete one first." The error's details hold the entitlement, the limit, what you use now as current, what you asked for as requested, and the plan.
Dekka never stops or deletes something you already run because of a limit, including after a downgrade. A limit also applies to staged changes and to settings in a config file, where going over it fails the deployment and leaves the serving release in place.
What happens when build minutes run out?
On Free, builds from GitHub are refused until the next calendar month, while image deploys and rollbacks keep working because they don't build. On Starter and Growth, builds carry on and the minutes beyond the allowance are billed.
